Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Applied Materials (APMTL)
A 4 year program that educates students in the deep and broad integration of science and materials engineering for innovative and sustainable solutions to current and future material engineering challenges. Graduates of this program research the relationship between structure of materials and material properties, processing methods and performance. They develop and modify new and existing ceramics, metals, composites, particulate materials, and polymers and design ways to use these materials to improve quality of life. This program is designed for analytical students who enjoy data analysis and are project driven.
Associate of Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology (A.ENGT)
A two year program that prepares its graduates to become engineering technologists who work as machine, product, and process designers; computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) operators; personal computer integrated manufacturing specialists; planners; technical sales people; production supervisors; laboratory technologists; and managers. This program is designed for students who enjoy hands-on, technical work.
For the Associate in Engineering Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, a minimum of 65 credits is required. The A.ENGT. in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Penn State DuBois and Penn State York is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program Criteria.

2+2 Engineering Programs
Penn State DuBois is one of 20 Commonwealth campuses throughout Pennsylvania that give you the freedom to live and learn in an environment that suits you best.
Some students choose to remain at one campus for all four years, while other students spend their first two years at the DuBois campus and transition to another for their remaining two years. We call it the 2+2 plan and it’s the most common path to a Penn State degree—more than 50 percent of our students begin their Penn State experience at a Commonwealth campus.
Students choose this path for many reasons; some for the chance to stay close to home, others to save money. Still others are looking for a particular campus environment, perhaps smaller classes or particular sports. Whatever their reason and wherever their campus, they are excited to embark on their Penn State experience.
